Flow Sensor Support
Overview
Yardian’s sensor port can be configured to support “rain sensor” or “flow sensor” on Yardian app.
You can set up your sensor in “Yardian Device Settings” on the “Home” tab of your app. If you have a flow sensor configured, the flow rate in Gallon/Liter Per Minute will be shown on the “Home” tab. Your water usage will be calculated based on the measured flow rate.
Note:
Yardian supports wired flow sensors with on/off pulse output. If you can not find the sensor you use, please contact us at support@aeonmatrix.com.
Flow Sensor Installation
Install your flow sensor on the main water line.
Connect the two wires of your flow sensor to the “sensor port” of your Yardian.
Yardian supports both rain sensor and flow sensor. Once you connect the sensor wires on the sensor port, you need to assign the sensor type as “Flow Sensor” and do calibration for all the zones in the Yardian app.
Set up the Baseline Flow Rate
You will be asked to set up a base line flow rate for each zone. The Yardian app will guide you through the process. Once a baseline flow rate is set up, your Yardian will notify you when the measured flow rate is higher or lower than a threshold (in percentage) you specified.
1. Click “Set Up” in the Device Settings
2. Specify calibration time for each zone (1 minutes in this example)
Anomaly Notification
Once the baseline flow rate is set up, you can go to the “Yard” tab and go to any zone. You should see a “Flow Monitoring” option at the bottom of the zone page. You can specify a range for anomaly notification.
