The Smart Program Hours
Smart Program Features
Overview
The Smart Program is an automated feature that calculates watering schedules and durations based on real-time weather data from the previous day. With Smart Program Hours, you can define specific timeframes during which the Smart Program is allowed to water your yard. This ensures flexibility and control over your watering schedule according to your preferences. This feature is particularly useful for adhering to local water restrictions and when managing multiple Yardian controllers.
Set Up the Smart Program Hours
Please click the “menu button” in the upper right corner in the “Program” tab to access the setting page, then click the “Smart Program Hours” option.
Multiple Yardian Controllers
If you have a single water source and can only activate one zone at a time, it’s crucial to configure your watering programs – both Manual Programs and the Smart Program – correctly. To prevent conflicts, assign different sets of allowable hours for each Yardian device. This practice ensures that two zones are not simultaneously activated. For further insights on installing multiple Yardian controllers, please refer to the Installing Multiple Yardian Controllers.
Note on Smart Program with Multiple Yardian Controllers
It’s vital to prevent overlapping allowable Smart Program Hours across different Yardian controllers. Ensure that the allocated time slots for each device do not conflict to avoid unintended watering overlap.
Important Guidelines for Smart Program Hours
To guarantee the effective functioning of the Smart Program, it’s recommended to set the allowable time slots slightly longer than your typical watering duration. If any part of your watering schedule exceeds the defined allowable time slots, that specific segment will be skipped during the Smart Program’s operation.
